I wrote this for another blog some time ago but decided to share it to my readers.
With all the body detox, bloating and slimming tea in the market,it can get really hard to choose the one you believe is most suitable for you. I understand that not everyone enjoys DIYs,but there are things so simple to make and do,that spending tons of money becomes unnecessary. For example, how to beat the bloat caused mainly by gas and other stomach irregularities, without splurging on that tea.
It should noted that when I say beating the bloat,I do not mean burning those extra fat, these are two different things and although burning those extra fat isn't quite the hercules task, contrary to popular belief, but for the sake of the post, the focus is on how to beat the bloat.
There are some really cheap capsules that works great for bloating but let us stick to natural and/or home-made ones shall we?
First, cut down on all the bottles of soda you drink, those refreshing drinks, loaded with sugar and gas, switch it with water. Talking about water, you should drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily,it helps in controlling the bloat.
Have you ever tasted peppermint tea, taste great and helps in eliminating stomach bloat,if you can't find/make it,then ginger tea to the rescue.
Eat your fruits and vegetables my friends, you will not even get the bloat in the first place.
You should also avoid taking in air,you do that by smoking, chewing gum, eating too fast and drinking through a straw. You should also exercise daily and try to eat small meals frequently and not three big meals.
Now,have you heard of that salt-water flush for bloating? Well if you haven't,then that's about to change. You should take 1-2 tablespoons of uniodized sea salt in a quart of water, gulp it down and lay on your right hand side for a few minutes and let it work its magic. Warning though, you'll be visiting the toilet a few times but there's absolutely nothing to worry about. It can be done a few times a week and is indeed effective. If you have tried it,how did it work out for you? If you haven't then you should.

The Cold Weather
This is probably coming late considering the fact that we are deep in the harmattan season already.
For the purpose of non-Nigerians (or Africans) who may be reading this,Harmattan is the winter we have here, without the snow. It usually starts in November and ends in january except for states like plateau, their hamattan season extends up to February or even march(based on my experience).
Some states have harsher cold than others, states like Lagos(west) do not experience the extreme cold like other states especially the north and the east (again I write from my experience).
This is the season of cracked lips, dry skin, dry hair, that cool nose breath, general cold, some may add apollo eye infection (haven't seen that in a while though).
We need to take care of ourselves during this period, both internally and externally.
First, and most importantly,we should drink a lot of water this period to stay hydrated at all times, take a lot of fruits and vegetables also.
I don't have to say this because its the first thing we do when we feel the cold, cover your skin, wear longer sleeves and wrap yourself up with thick fabrics to keep you warm. Always and always moisturize naturally. By this I mean you should totally avoid all products with alcohol for both your skin(including make-up) and hair. Rub natural butters and oils like shea and cocoa butter(my fave) and coconut, olive and castor oil.
DO NOT shower with hot water, its tempting,I know but avoid it. What it does is take out the moisture in your skin and leave it dry.
For my cracked lips,I use my faithful shea butter, you can also use the famous petroleum jelly.
For those who get the apollo eye infection, first,i'm sorry because that thing hurts, always wash your hands and avoid picking and scratching(this also goes to everyone),wash your face with clean water and topically apply antibiotic like Chloramphenicol, mainly to prevent bacterial infection that would worsen it. You must have heard of using your urine,I don't think its medically approved but I know it does work.
Merry Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year.

Going Natural (Hair)
Going natural was something that i was bound to do or rather,it was bound to happen to me. This is because I always employed healthy hair regime and was already on the path of cutting out chemicals completely.
I wasn't going to go all out, because I never really liked the really low cut look on females, especially then,so I decided to transition. My first 9 months was easy breezy, thanks to all natural hair blogs I constantly read, especially thekinkandi.com, but I followed my friend to the salon to get her hair relaxed, then,I relaxed mine too. Too bad. Lol.
March 1,2014, I decided I wasn't going to relax my hair anymore, not that my hair was damaged from chemicals, like I said,I've always followed healthy hair regime, but I just wanted to be natural, always wondered what our females in the past (talking about centuries before the white men came) did to their hair and how they managed it,my mother pictures of her youth was always inspiring, she had the best afro.
Fast forward february 1 2015,I did my big chop after 11 months of transition.
Now its been 10 months and I'm loving every minute of it. Although I wear weaves, wigs and braids a lot,I rock my fro every chance that I get. The love for my natural hair and the confidence I exude while rocking it shines through and has inspired a lot of people to go natural or at least employ a healthy hair regime.
My hair's favorite things are water, coconut oil, glycerin, olive oil amongst other things. I love D.I.Ys and make things myself too.
I will surely make a post of natural hair ladies and gents that inspire me but for now, these are a few pictures of mine.

Home Made Cure For Itchy/Sore Throat And Cough.
I love D.I.Ys (do it yourself),not only because it stops me from splurging but simply because I love to create things with my hand and experiment.
So I was busy searching for home made cough syrup and I didn't even have a cough (lol). I didn't make it because of the reason above (no cough) and such treatment should be made fresh, until I had an itchy throat and then decided to try it.
Things you'll need are, garlic or onion (for children),
honey (or even sugar),
lemon and
olive oil.
Take two (2) tablespoon of grated garlic/ginger or 1 medium sized onion and put in a container
Add honey of a 3/4 cup or 2-3 teaspoon of brown or white sugar
Cover the container and let it sit for 4-8 hours or over-night
After 8 hours, add 2 teaspoon of olive oil and fresh juice of half lemon
Strain the syrup and put in a container
You should store it in a cool place or even your refrigerator
Can be taken every 2-3 hours or as often as you want and a batch should be used be replaced within days like I said earlier, its better to be taken fresh. (I made mine twice in 5 days)
Have you ever tried it? Do you have any home-made recipe to cure sore/itchy throat?
It worked so well for me,you should try it if you haven't already.

STOP,I DON'T HAVE A HEART RIGHT NOW
Meeting all these people
Some are awesome
Some are plain dump
They're declaring their love for me
Talking about wooing and courting me
All I want to say to them
The devourers and genuine alike
STOP CATCHING FEELINGS,I DON'T HAVE A HEART RIGHT NOW
I wish I had a heart for sale
But I simply can't find it
I wish I had a heart for repair
No idea who took it
But I know what took it
My ambition,my hunger,my thirst,my desire
To succeed is all I think about in the daylight
Its what I dream about when the lights are out
What I eat,what I drink
What I see,what I dream
My future,my ambition,
My dream,my wish-list
I foresee
When they ask what I think of them
If what they feel is mutual
In my head, what I say to them
Is
STOP CATCHING FEELINGS,I DON'T HAVE A HEART RIGHT NOW
Some like to play 'The Therapist'
'The Pychic','The Healer
They think I'm simply broken
That I've got it bad
They say I've been heartbroken
And seem more afraid of love
They want to teach me how to love again
When they offer me a chance show me love
STOP CATCHING FEELINGS,I DON'T HAVE A HEART RIGHT NOW
Can I take a rain check?
Will you call me back to check?
Visit sometime,later?
When I've seen the world?
Make my marks on it?
When the world's seen me?
Make its marks on me?
I'm sure to catch feelings, cuz I may have a heart by then.

Effective Weight Loss Naturally
These days,I see a lot of weight-loss products in the market
Slimming teas, pills and other herbal concoctions.
If you do really want to lose weight though, there are other ways that are natural that i do prefer.
I'm lucky enough to be able to lose weight whenever I want to because I've got it down to a T,the fundamentals in loosing weight, from workouts(although I've been hella lazy lately),to diet.
Let me share with you 3 very effective methods I use.
First,WATER. Do you know taking the required liters of water for your body weight can cause you to loose weight? QUICKLY. Now,check your weight (in lbs) and divide by two, take that number in ounces of water daily.(Translation) I weigh 70kg,that is 154lbs (you can always calculate it),
154/2 is 77,take 77oz of water which measures up to 228cl of water. Use ice cold water for a faster weight loss.
Second, cut down on THE SODA,all the so-called refreshing drinks do more harm than good to the body,a bottle of soda equals 20 packets of sugar that turns into fat. Same as alcohol. CUT! CUT! CUT!
Third,ALOE VERA. So effective,I wonder why people would rather not. Aloe vera is high in phytosterols, this helps to reduce fat and blood sugar and also control it,and it speeds up the body's metabolism which helps the body burn fat and loose weight. Aloe vera also contains aloin which stimulate the gut activities and helps in a total cleanse of the body.
There are so many ways in which people make theirs,I do the simple method of just removing the gel from the leaf, mix in a bottle and drink quarter glass in the mornings on an empty tummy. You can mix with lemon juice or even ginger.
Reducing your calorie intake according to your height and weight and exercise(even if its for 10 minute a day) also helps tremendously.
MORE TO COME
Let me know if you've tried it or know someone who has.

Diary Of The Day
Today was a good day for me and I am more than happy because its the first day of the month and I do want to believe, the first happy day of the next 30 happy days (and forever).
I started by waking up from one of the best nights I've had this year(I had a good night rest with natural unfiltered cool breeze from God),although my sister woke me up and I struggled to get up,prepared for church(1st mass for 6am),ate a delicious meal prepared by my mother herself, surf the internet a little before catching up with my siblings.
Then,my younger sister and I went visiting one of my oldest and best friends from secondary school.
Days like this remind me of who I used to be,a happy, always cheerful, shy but extremely confident(still),friendly, intelligent, positive(I could go on)young girl. I always love to catch up with the friends who have stayed true and I realize that whenever I'm with them,I go back to that girl in school who just want to learn and play with my friends.
Good old friendships are always the best because they only get better with time, just like fine wine and I LOVE and CHERISH those friendships because we are free to be ourselves with no hold backs and judgements flying around.
Hope you had a great day today?

Education
The youth of our time do not read
They do not value education
They remember all of the richest people who never got a formal education
Did dangote go to school?
That's a typical question
I know it can be argued that education has failed us Nigerians
And to some degree I understand
I for one have not been able to get a good job
So I understand that point
But I believe and firmly disagree that it has failed us
It hasn't.
No.
The problem we have is not with education
The problem is that we go to school to get a
degree so we can get good jobs afterwards
While that is splendid,it is berserk
I must not study law or medicine,or pharmacy or business or politics or history because it is a good course
I should study it because I'm eager to learn more about that field
Because it is what I'm passionate about
I love making furnitures,I love fashion,I love Accessories,I love writing
Ill get educated in that field and be a bad-ass certified professional
Offer top-notch service and make a living out of it
Because that is possible
IT IS POSSIBLE
What is it you'll like to do?
Take a bold step today,take a step
Do not bury that dream because you think it isn't realistic
Because it IS realistic and it Is POSSIBLE.

I believe in love but I also believe in equality. When I see a picture like this,I always force myself to understand and agree but something deep inside of me doesn't.
I am an African woman and society expects you to treat your man in a certain way.
I want to know though, how do you treat your dad,a king and a president?
And how are the men supposed to receive these treatments and how do they treat the women in return.
I need to know all these so I can prepare myself to treat my futurre husband like my dad,a king and a president.

My Pictures
Thought it wise to share some of my pictures.+ I'm pretty sure,I'l post photos of people, places, things, etc, that aren't me,that I don't own and that I've never been, because I'm inspired by people and pictures and a bunch of other things and blogging about them/it is something I will definitely do.
Learning How To Blog With My Smartphone
One of the reasons,as a matter of fact, the number one reason why I haven't being able to blog is because I don't have a laptop. Then I realized I could with my smartphone. So I'm going to stay up as long as I can to figure out the ways to do so,successfully. I'd appreciate any tip/advice.
Thank you loads.
Thank you loads.
