I am subscribed to a lot of newsletters from around the world so everyday I wake up to over 50 newsletters and get more during the course of the day.
I subscribe because I hope to be inspired or motivated or simply learn something new from these newsletters or be notified when there is a sale/discounts going on. (Lol).
However, today,I woke up to one of the most inspiring newsletters I have ever read from one of the best fashion stylists in Australia. She wrote about body shaming and body image issues, but this time, not from others but from yourself.
I CAN RELATE,simply because I also have always had a love-hate relationship with my body and it started when I began to grow and develop into a lady some 10 years ago.
As I lived,I realized that I wasn't alone in this love-hate thing as almost every girl, lady, woman I have met, hates at least one part of her body and wishes to conceal or completely change it. Some go ahead to have cosmetic surgeries, others learn the ways to conceal and some learn to accept and love their bodies.
This stylist found some stats about our body and what happens in it and it put things in perspective. If you only knew the amazing things our bodies do in a day,you will be filled with nothing but love and gratitude for your body. Let's focus on the things we like and stop hating our bodies. The next time you want to start shaming on your body, use these as gentle, wonderful reminders of how magical your body truly is.

#OOTD
This is my very first #ootd post. Exciting thing. So today my sister and I are going house-hunting and we will be going to see a couple of houses in Lagos. I want to be prepared, that explains the boot, walking around in Lagos from one end to another,on a weekday? Boots please. The boot belongs to my brother though but I love the way I feel in it. Paired with my long tee and my chanel chain purse. This is my #ootd. Love or loathe? Lemme know in the comment section, pretty please?!
